Wireless to wired m-bus converter WRM nano

Wireless m-bus receiver WRMnano

WRMnano is an wireless m-bus receiver, intended to collect data from various devices, working in modes T, S or C, according to wireless m-bus standard (EN13757-4). This device has simple function – collect data from every wireless meter which is told to, and convert this data to normal m-bus telegram. WRMnano has capability to gather data from up to 64 meters. It can work in automatic mode, where it finds and activates all meters in range. In this mode each meter is saved with ID and Primary address 0 and maximum 64 meters can be found. Or user can set exact ID numbers for readout with our software. Device is powered from wired m-bus and is 5 standard m-bus loads (7.5mA). Powering from standard m-bus is the main advantage of our concentrator in mixed networks. AES-128 encryption individual key can be saved for each meter/primary address.

Normal mode of operation

If set in automatic mode - WRMnano starts to collect data from wireless m-bus meters in range and to activate them in non-volatile memory. If not in automatic 'search and activate' mode the user should program the device, using m-bus converter and our software. All setting is made through m-bus wired interface. Keep in mind that this port also poweres the device, so it takes 5 m-bus loads, instead of one.

When desired meters are activated and tied to corresponding Primary address then devices just collects received data and returns last actual read values on its m-bus port. Data part of wireless telegram is intact and packed as standard m-bus telegram RSP_UD, with long header. User can read by Primary or Secondary address, standard port settings are 2400/Even.

All commands are detail described in WRMnano Command reference, which we freely provide to our customers.
